Julio Guity Guevara
LL.M., is the Managing Director of SUDECC, Inc., a consulting firm that promotes sustainable development and delivers services to facilitate the implementation of climate change projects in vulnerable populations. Previously, he was Deputy Director of the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC, Office on Latino Affairs. He also worked as a project attorney and an environmental specialist at the Legal Department, the Energy and Climate Change Unit, the Environmental Safeguards Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He was a member of the IDB’s working group responsible for the establishment of the Clean Technology Trust Fund (CTF). He is also a co-founder of the Afro-InterAmerican Forum on Climate Change established in COP26 Summit in Glasgow, UK . Over the years, Julio developed an expertise in community engagement, climate change, international project finance and dispute settlement mechanisms. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Washington College of Law, American University.
